It is with profound sadness that the Danish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DSOG) has received the news of the passing of Tim Draycott, far too early.

We deeply valued the collaboration between DSOG and Tim over the years. He was a remarkable colleague whose enthusiasm, warmth and generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege to work with him. Tim was consistently perceived as joyful, smiling and full of energy — a presence that lifted every room he entered.

Tim was an innovator and an inspirer. His commitment to improving clinical practice and advocating for high-quality obstetric care made a lasting impression, both in Denmark and internationally. His ideas and approaches to training have influenced programmes around the world, and his ability to combine vision with practical insight made him a trusted voice in our field.

Tim will be remembered with respect, gratitude and deep admiration. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
