It has a distinguished International Editorial Board and a world-wide distribution and readership.
The Deputy Chief Editor will assist the Chief Editor (CE) in all editorial matters and will be expected to advance the position and reputation of AOGS internationally working in close collaboration with other Editors and the publisher (currently Wiley-Blackwell), and with the support of the NFOG Board. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated professionally active Obstetrician and Gynecologist with documented scientific, academic and clinical credentials. She/he is expected to handle the manuscripts assigned to him by the Chief Editor, cover his vacation (5 weeks per year) and any other absences (e.g. sick leave), attend two editorial board meetings per year and participate and contribute in the educational activities organized for the editors. Prospective applicants should be prepared to devote the equivalent of 20 % (8 hours a week) of a full-time position to the journal. The NFOG will compensate for this work with an honorarium of 200 000 DKK (approximately, 26800 EUR or 30000 USD) per year. Additionally, the DCE will be reimbursed for traveling expenses to attend two editorial board meetings per year and up to 30000 DKK per year to attend professional meetings/conferences. Conditions of this compensation will be discussed and terms of the payment of honorarium/salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant before signing a contract.
The applicants are requested to submit their application and curriculum vitae including a statement on their vision and measures they plan to implement to advance the international standing and scientific impact of AOGS. In addition, applicants should provide documentation to support their application and qualifications. Deadline for applications is December 15th, 2017.
